Engine and Out-Drive types?

How can I know what type, HP, block my engines are and type of out-drives that I have.
I know that they are 5.0L VP but that is about all. Ford, Chevy? Rated HP, etc etc.

I have the serial numbers of the engines and out-drives if that helps.

Hours on both: 340.0
Where do you find this information? Know it is out there but not been able to put it all together as yet!:redface:

You have a GM engine, TBI with a DP-SM outdrive.
