Going to pull engine this weekend to replace a spun coupler. I've read up on this a bit and watched some videos. I have a question about putting it back together. I suspect I'll have to adjust the alignment because I believe this might have what caused the coupler to spin. There are three hooks to pull the motor. Do I use just the two that are connected to manifold on top of motor? Is the third one for raising the engine to adjust alignment? Sorry first time engine puller hear don't want to have a catastrophe by hooking it in wrong place.

Yes you attach the motor lift chain to the 2 attachment points on the intake and use the single lift point up front once the motor is installed to make the alignment adjustments.

Do not try to adjust the alignment with the engine hoist still attached. Full weight of the engine has to be on the mounts.

couplers usually go from mis-alignment, in most cases one of the rear mounts collapsed.check them so see if there the same height, if not the new coupler wont last.Make sure you clean the front mounts and get the nuts to move real easy.
