Engine alarm

I have a 2010 Mercury 30hp 4 stroke engine where the engine alarm goes on only when triming the engine down and only when running the engine at least half throttle. Does anyone have any idea why the alarm would go on under these conditions?

Hi there, welcome to iboats! Does your boat/engine have Mercury smartcraft?

Since it's doing it while trimming, maybe you have a 12v power problem and the 12 volts is getting under specifications under full load of trim and engine power demand.

Check you batteries, battery cables and 12v power output.
