engine alarm sounding

Hello everyone. I'm new here and would appreciate any insight anyone could provide. I have a 2003 Hurricane FunDeck 196R with a 115HP Yamaha 2 stroke. It has been running fine all season for its first year in salt water. Yesterday, I tried to start it for the first time in about 3 weeks, and the alarm buzzer is going off as soon as I turn the key. I checked the oil level, and the battery is charged. There were no issues prior to yesterday. Any ideas as to what could be triggering the alarm? Thanks so much!

Re: engine alarm sounding

Are there any indicators on the Tac or other instruments?
high Temp or low oil level will bring in alarm, disconnect the pink wire from the temp switch to see if that will make it go away

If the alarm is going off when key is turned to "on", then the trouble is in the kill switch circuit--is the lanyard hooked up ?
