Electronic Ignition

I have a 1988 OMC 4.3L engine that I would like to convert to electronic ignition. Has anyone done this procedure, and if so what parts do I need to do the change. Thanks in advance

There were issues with the shift module, when converting to electronic ignition. I do not know details, but heard the shift module catches on fire.

there is a kit available at your former omc dealer. it is in the parts and accessories catalog. they are about 200 bucks and come with a new module. e-mail me if you want the part #
