Last year I had a knee replacement that didn't go well and so I didn't
get my larger boat out (22' Hewescraft Searunner). But - I did run both
motors out of gas last time I used it, only use premium leaded gas and
did add fuel stabilizer. Gas smells ok - just fyi.

Today, I changed the oil, changed the gear oil, and replaced the spark
plugs in the larger (2003 Honda BF130A - only 140 hours on it) and
smaller (2003 Honda BF8D) motors.

Small motor started right up and runs and idles perfect.

Larger motor will not start (but turns over easily).

A) Checked to make sure I am getting gas - I am and when you pull the
spark plug, you can smell gas on the plug (so it's in the cylinder).

B) Checked to see if I was getting "spark". Not to the plugs. Checked all
fuses - none blown. Checked the battery side of the coil - 12VDC

Any ideas on what to check next (and how) ? Last time I ran it - there
were no issues and I've never had a starting problem with it.

Thanks for your ideas, best guesses, help, and patience.

John, doe this engine use a mechanical choke? If so, can you hear it snapping when you push the button? No time with the bigger Honda's, but the smaller ones I spend my time with sometimes have a little trouble with the choke buttons, whether mounted in the dash or in the control head. Bottom line, if the choke's not working, these things will be a bear to start.
