I just completed some engine repairs for issue with gasket from winter damage. I have the engine all back together and when attempting to start the engine is turning but not starting up. I have done the following...
1. no spark at plugs
2. no spark at coil
3. 12v light test coil (no power)
4. Ignition switch (power correct in all positions)
5. Gages appear to move correctly when in run position, but could not tell if back lit.
6. Took Coil for testing and it is fine
Problem might be related to safety kill switch/lanyard, problem is I bought the boat 6 years old and it never had one. I have looked around to find where it might have been placed and cannot find anything out of place. Everything looks factory, no splicing noted. Any idea on how I can do a check, or fix/by-pass ?short? if one exists in this area? Any other ideas on where to go from here?
