yesterday everything was fine, washing the boat off from winter storage. I left for the store with my 10 yr old still washing. I came home and now I have no electrical. I've checked the battery, appears to be good, but I put it on the charger just in case. I have checked all the fuses under the dash--good. I put a volt meter on the trim motor, red lead on the motor and ground on the engine and get good volts. When I turn the key on I get nothing, to gauges respone, no lights, nothing. Any suggestions?

Re: electrical problems

You lost all power to your ignition between the time you left for the store and you returned. Is it possible there's a a Perko or some type of battery switch that your son shut off?

You should be able to trace the positive wire from your battery with your voltmeter to the ignition and see if you have power at the switch and go from there. Maybe the switch decided to take this time to go bad?
