hi,
just replaced the fuel tank in the boat, and went to start it, it turned over and then went dead. since this happened the wiring to the kill switch gets really hot, and none of the gauges work, when you turn the ignition on. tghe guages flicker but do not register as they should. i'm guessing i;ve disturbed something electrical when messing with the tank??? any ideas???? its a 97 mariah with 4.3gs volvo

Re: electric problem

Sounds like you have a short on the other side of the kill switch. Some hot line may have come loose and is now touching the ground. At the other extreme, you may have damaged something in the electrical system of the engine.

Amir
