I am in need of converting from a mechanical fuel pump to an electric fuel pump. I bought a kit that has a relay and also bought a oil pressure safety switch. So as I look at the wiring the relay needs power from a battery source and one from the starting circuit. I thought I could grab both from the starter selenoid. The one lug has battery power but One question I have is does it matter for the starting circuit which of the two smaller terminals I use? Now on to the safety switch it has 3 terminals one is a power source one is a starting circuit source which iis where I believe my relay goes to and the last is the feed line to my pump. So if I understand this right the safety switch handles the switching of the 2 power sources. Lastly my machnical pump had a line from the bottom of it to the top of the carburetor. What is the line? Do I need to duplicate it?

Fuel Pump Wiring.jpg First thing is you need to fix the battery cable feeding the starter

Next, it should have a wiring diagram which would resemble this
