Anyone know how to properly install Sierra electric fuel pump 18-7331 (low PRESSURE type)? I have (2) 100 gal tanks that feed two 350 v8s. I have concerns on fuel pump placement. Each motor has 10 micron water separators before current pumps. Pumps are installed on port and stb stringer that is flush with bottom of each tank and about 1 foot to motor. I lift fuel the height of motor. There is about a 10 foot linear run, each 6 foot to water separator, followed by 2 feet to pump. I have not had success with traditional automotive pumps. I fear these type pumps are pushers while the Sierra is a true marine and might be design as a puller. I plan on replacing automotive with Sierra and installing them in the same location as the automotive. These electric pumps really suck!!!!!!!
