Electric choke not working? 1990 120hp Force

Green wire is routed and hooked up correctly but when I push the key plunger no choke, do you have to jump another wire to the choke? it just has the yellow wire attached that look like it runs to the neutral safety switch area and under the battery hookup bolts. Starter engages fine when the controller key is turned on. Choke works as it should when you hit it with 12 volts. thanks for any help.

I had a similar problem with my '69 70 hp. Believe it or not a couple shots of electrical contact spray cleaner into where the key would go fixed it right up. I pushed in on the switch a few times to get the cleaner "circulated" and VOILA! Has worked perfectly since that time. Might want to give it a try. I would still double check your wiring and connections just to be safe. Good luck...
