HELP. I need to know who makes 5-4-5 electric drum brakes for a trailer

I orderd the rear assembly, when it came in the brake bub wouldn't fit on!!! GRRRR. The magnet would go under the existing hub. The parts store doesn't have a matching hub. WEIRD>

GRRRRR!

We've checked dexter dico, etc, but no luck. Are the parts store guys just clowns?

Can you explain a little further? I'm having trouble visualizing what the problem is.

Yeah, but I've got to make sure now that the new assemblies of backing plate with pads and the drum is going to fit on my trailer with the current spindle and bearings.

Do bearings have the size stamped into them, I seem to remember that they do... I ideally would want a 12 inch X 2 drum WITH the flat side on the inside for the magnet that has the 5 bolt X4.5 inch bolting pattern. Mostly what I've seen is 12 X2 with SIX bolts.

My existing 12X2 X5 bolt one is a hydraulic. I need to go to elect4ric because I have an equalizer hitch and cannot use a surge coupler (therefore electric is the choice)

I have never heard of 12" brakes with 5 lugs.

Call up Champion Trailers and ask them what your options are.

The bearing numbers are on the bearings and you can probably figure out what you need by what size your axle diameters are.

I'm going to just replace the whole axle with a new #3500 one.

Problem DONE. Thanks for all of your help
