i just got this Yamaha from a old bloke . he had used it and he say it shud start up with som TLC and maby with out being a yamaha
i cant find any good data/info/manual and instruktions on it
i think its a 1972 mod 2stroke 8hk
i baught a fultank and yamaha line+pump butt ha had put one som other fule conektion on it cant figure out from what, i was going to change it but i think my local dealer had mixed them up. it fits nice but wen i dry pump i cud fell air leaking throgh semed to be to small.
so i just linked it temoreraly directly to the fule filter.
the comp seems to bee good
after some wd40 around and inn the sparkplug holels it turend kinda nice.
after almost riping my arms of trying to start it it bearly started 2 and died direktly after.
her are my main questions:
1. how do the sparkplugs seem. (litel darker and wetter in real life)
i manage to see a week spark from the top sparkplug and maby on the bottom one (har to tell by janking and lokking at the plug by your self in the bright sun
2. what cud i test for my my self and how
3. ween i pumped the fule pump it often let air back in (or i cud see the fule slowly go down the fule line to the tank. and one some acations it seemed to be dripping fule from the side botom of carb close to the chock butt no obvius plas (se the red sirkel on one of the photos)
4.i found 4 wires thet werent conected 2 i fugured out that went to emergensy cut like (death line or what you call it) the other 2 i found no plass for(is it from the generator to charge a batery or somthing?)
5.is there supose to be some sort of filter on top of the carb?
6.is it posible to use a nother rope pull weel from another outbord... mine isent so good and afrade of buying one i plastic that cud end up like this one.
7. this is the fule i used sins i allredy had it on hand (2 stroke fule with 2% 2 stroke oil. or which mix shud i use 95okt + how mutch oil
8. any usual spuspekts? or anything i can cheak? im going to change the sparkplugs ween i can get my hands on new ones (they were out on BR7HS plugs) and lower casing oil ween it stars. impeler after first proper start if needed.
