Edson Monaco 23 foot cuddy

Hi All
I have inherited my nephew's 23 foot boat. The hull and interior are pretty good for a 1989 boat.
Edson boats were manufactured in Manitoba and later secondly in Toronto but the company is long gone! there is no information at all online and no papers accompanied the boat.
Anybody else have an Edson?
Power is Volvo Penta V-6, 205 hp and of course it started and ran then quit and while it turns over it will not fire up.
Anybody out there with an old Edson?

first, the motor issue has nothing to do with the boat its in

start with the ignition system and work your way thru the fuel system.

if the boat sat a while you will need to go thru the fuel system from stem to stern and clean everything

being a 1989, you either have a 280 or 290 drive and either a single prop or duo-prop

not sure about the ownership in Canada, however here in the US, in most cases, without proper paperwork you may have a yard planter.
