Editing thread title

Occasionally I make a typo or just realise that the thread title could be improved.
It always seemed strange to me that the edit function does not allow you a second shot at the title....you are locked in to the mistake and there is no second chance.

Quite by chance I found out that you can in fact access that "Title" block and make changes. Select "edit" ....and when the editing window comes up, select "edit" a second time and you get a different editing screen that includes the original title.

I suspect that many long-timers, mods, and those who are in other forums that use this software already knew that, but it may be of benefit to others like me....

You can get access to the title for editing if you click on "go advanced" after the first edit screen comes up, Tim.

Well, once i posted this (of course..after the fact...) the "Similar threads" box at the bottom of the page had a number of posts on this topic.
After a week apparently, the "Advanced" option will not get you to the s[pot to edit the title, my method does.
As a test, I tried a three month old post and was able to modify the title.

That latter ability probably is not all that useful.
