I just purchesed my first I/O boat. It has twin Mercruiser 190 4 cyls. The boat and motors are in Verry good cond, motors have lowe hrs, How ever the 4brl Quadrajet carbs are showing their A@@!! I have had several older Chevy trucks and Hot rods,, i removed the quadrajets, and put Edelbrock,s on them. I was wondering if this rings true for Marine Quadrajets?? Should I replace these carbs with Edelbrok marine 1409.s?? Or would new Quadrajets be better in this aplication??? Or is there somthing better that would fit, without changing to mutch??

Any input would be great THANKS !!

I'd go with the 1409. You 'll probebly have to get the recalibration kit for the V6 as well since I dont think Edelbrock makes a kit for the 4 banger.

Thanks for the input,,, I am leaning to the 1409. I have been reading other forams on this site, and the 1409 seems to be a popular carb.
Thanks
