ECM Replaced 5.0 with 5.7. Need ECM Help

I am new member and not sure if this is correct place for this post. I replaced 98 5.0 GI Volvo Penta with New long block 5.7. I can't find Used or New ECM for 5.7 Throttle Body engine. The place I bought engine from says they can reprogram my 5.0 ECM. Others tell me that can't be done with volvo ECM. Does anyone Know where to find one or should I pay $450 to have mine reprogrammed? engine was 5.0GIPBYCCE so I guess new engine will be 5.7GSIPBYCCE. I think P# looking for is 3857926 or 3858733.

You say it's a "New" long block, but does that mean it's a Newly remanned long block? Reason being, many remanned are bored out .060, if that's the case, you may need some adjustment in the ECM to compensate for larger volume.
Get your ECM reprogrammed and explain to the company you use what engine you are using.

It is a new engine. Not rebuilt. I will give them a call on Monday. I would gladly pay $200 to have it reprogammed. Thanks for the fast response. You guys are great.
