ebbtide boat for 1st boat purchase

Been looking to buy my first boat, came across this one but am not familiar with "Ebbtide" Any input from you guys?

I think Ebbtide has always made a quality boat.

The one you linked is a nice setup, if it fits your needs.

It is likely to need a bit of maintenance even with the low hours.
Price seems a bit steep for a 12 year old boat.

Great price- for the SELLER. At some point she has been sitting for a long time-- or only 3 hours annually?

That's what I figured, not much use means musta sat a while, which in the boating world is kinda frowned upon isn't it? What kinda maintenance would you suggest being done on something like this, minor things or major such as outdrive r&r to check alignment

IMHO, I would do the valve springs. With that low of hours, it sat with a few valve open. It's not expensive to change them out, but better on the hard trailer than dropping a valve @ 5k rpm in the middle of the lake. Go ahead a figure in a impeller kit, better safe than sorry.


I like the Ebbtide 190, I went for a ride in one while I was looking, I liked everything about it,but the wife wanted a cuddy.

Complete Pump Housing Kit for Mercruiser, GLM 12130 - Sierra 18-3321 - iboats

This is just a basic idea, you need to have the drive SN to see what kit it takes. Kits are all close in price tho.
