Hi Robby<br />New steel OEM tanks and hoses Retail for well inexcess $100. at your local dealer. Toss in tax,licence and dealer prep- add a few more bucks. Personaly I would not pay the new price. I also feel $50 is a bit much for a used tank. The presure tank you need shouldn't cost much more than any other used tank in the raw (yard sale run). What makes presure tanks valueable is when someone takes the time, effort and money to refurbish them (rebuild,if you will). If you find a tank used at a yard sale,etc. By the time you get rid of the half tank full of nasty nucular waste, clean the tank, make the necessary repairs, paint, install a new hose and install new o-rings in the connector your into that bad boy for eighty to a hunded bucks. Assuming you paid 20-25 bucks for the tank to start. This includes labor at the rate paid at my shop, about 5 cents an hour. Be careful buying on E-bay. Anyone can sell stuff there. Alot of folks sell stuff they have no idea what it is. I see stuff misrepresented all the time. I do not belive these folks do this with intent to decive, I feel most are just ignorant. Remember when your a scrounger, your buying junk, junk to be repaired, so it is no longer junk. When you by junk it is always as is where is, no gaurentee, no sales slip, no tax, no B.S. This is why I choose not to do this type of business on E-bay (buy or sell), I guess I'm too old school, I prefer to haggel person to person. This way both buyer and seller can fondel and swoon over the treasure. I also live in the puget sound area, there are still plenty of these presure tanks around at yard sales, swap meets,pawn shops,second hands, etc. If you get busy,I'll bet you could have a half a dozen of them rounded up in two weeks.
