Ebay is Toast or is Toast Ebay!

Was listening to Coast to Coast AM with George Noory this evening while doing email etc.<br />Well he was joking about someone on ebay had a piece of toast with his face on it and it was up to 4.65 and joking about it.<br />Then it jumped up to 2225.00 and he was amazed.<br />It went from 2225.00 to 10,000.00 and with in a second 10,100.00 where it stands now.<br />Noory thinks its a hoax and that no-one will pay.<br /><br />How can someone find out if it is just a hoax??<br />because now its back down to 2225.00 5 minutes later??? <br />And to just check I did a refresh and its now US $3,050.00 and then again before finishing this I did another refresh and its at US $9,100.00<br />Maybe I need a drink or some cool drugs.. <br /><br /> http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1469&item=5542989514&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW <br /><br />Thanks<br />Link

My holy grail is to find some of these off the wall items to list on ebay. I do believe that some (maybe most) of these items auctioned actually are paid for. An example is the "grandfathers ghost and his silver walking cane" that was won by a casino. That item made national headlines, and sold for lotsa monies.

Remember Pet Rocks? <br /><br />Maybe I should keep all my burnt-out light bulbs and auction them on eBay as "Polish Darkroom Bulbs". It's all in the packaging and marketing! I'd be sure to be on Leno, dontcha think? Maybe I should auction "SOMETHING in a Box". Doesn't much matter what it was. Could be one of my Lab's crap piles.

I hear it's a casino buying this stuff (grilled cheese sandwich, ghost etc) as a publicity stunt. Now if I could just come up with something as off the wall to sell I wouldn't have to work for the next couple years. Off to the underwear draw to see if I can find any faces.
