Wanted these to perhaps setup a portable tank polishing system and got them for good price.
cat 252-6338 uses a napa 3166 fram c1191a wix 33166

So looking at these, they have a thick GLASS not plastic bowl, the sealing rings are metal for the plugs and the thread is 1/4 pipe for fittings. They also have a metal fill port - vent on the top.
The small drain port is plastic. I was also wondering if these could go in an engine room for a gasoline boat if you changed the plastic drain, tapped it for a 1/8 pipe thread and put a metal drain ****.
Any feelings about that? I had read plastic fuel bowls were not ok for gasoline engine rooms, but what about glass?
