rewired a trailer this am. no tow vehicle around, took vehicle end of harness and plug it in. took battery charger, and cliped wires to the plastic handle on top. plung in charger, and cliped the individual wires to the charger wires. worked great.

You don't even need the vehicle part of the harness. Clip the negative charger clip to the trailer frame. Put a nail in the positive clip and probe each pin in the connector (except the white/ground of course).

when you get old and jittery, trying to keep that nail in the clip is a pain, i kept knocking it out.
