Earth cable oxidising

Dear all. I am knew to boat wiring I have a fibre 23ft semi planing canoe. With two 85 hp engines and various electrical items installed.
I note that my earth return wires are turning black and oxidising what is the solution.
I would appreciate any help.

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,... Coat 'em with Grease,.... They can't oxidize, if oxygen can't get to 'em,....
