Early Mercruiser Bellows Starcraft Starchief

Hello all:
This is my first time so don't laugh if I say something dumb. I have a 1969 Starcraft Starchief Cabin Cruiser with a 120 HP Mercruiser. I have had it for eight years. The boat had a huge water leak around the transum. It would sink in two hours if I let it. I pulled the outdrive and discovered the drive shaft bellows was cracked. I replaced all three bellows and the hose. I took it to the lake on Monday and it ran great. There was a small leak but I was pretty happy with it. It has the 4 cylinder Chevy runs all day at 31 MPH. Great old boat

As I was getting ready to leave for the lake today I had the outdrive tilted up and could see that the lower (exhaust) hose was disconnected.

Do I have to pull the outdrive again? What did I do wrong, I used the glue and thought I had the clamp tight.

Any suggestions.

Roy

Ayuh,... I'd be More concerned about the Small Leak 1st,....

If the exhaust bellows fell off the Trailing end, ya, you could leave it that way, but I wouldn't...
I'd had gone to the exhaust Tube in the 1st place...
