Eagle Trifinder 2 Plus...any good?

I am in the market for a good fishfinder. Currently, the Eagle Trifinder 2 Plus seems to be at the top of the list. Does anyone have any experience- good, bad, or otherwise, with this model? My fishing is primarily shallow water (2-40 feet) and all freshwater. The triple beam seems to give the broadest side coverage at these shallow depths, while getting a good picture of the bottom below the boat. At least, that's how they advertise it.

After talking with a knowledgeable dealer, it appears the Eagle Seafinder 320 DF would be a much better value for the money. Much better resolution and speed sensor takes this one to the top of the list for now. Any opinions?

I have the eagle trifinder, It is not a bad unit. In reality the beam is not any wider than some others. It suits me well. I use it from 80 feet to right up on the rocks on a regular basis. The right left feature I mostly ignore, as a matter of fact I turn it off. It has good greyline and good resolution. It is adjustable and is easy to understand. It picks up structure very well in deeper water compared to my wide eye. I think you would do ok buying one of these. Only drawback I had was the mounting bracket it came with. It is one that would not swivel side to side. I made my own base for it out of parts from an old humminbird unit and the parts from the trifinder. I am very satisfied with mine.

We have one next to the Hummingbird on he boat. Love the Eagle. Don't use the Hummingbird any more. There isn't any comparing the units. The Eagle is much better detail. I would buy another no questions asked.
