e70elcdc 1986-1987 Turns over no spark

Recently bought a boat and it had a 70hp Evinrude from either 86 or 87, motor has good compression and turns over, still not getting a spark, we did look for the kill switch wire, any thoughts on what to do next.

No money spent to charge the battery , load test the battery.-----Take starter apart for inspection.-------Or just replace the powerpack as that fixes them 9 out of 10 times.
