Hello Evinrude experts, I'm interested in adding a water pressure sender to my 2009 E-Tec 115. I want to connect it to the existing NMEA 2000 bus, so no new wires from the engine. I'd like it to provide information to the i-Command display and my Lowrance HDS-5, and I'd like to configure it with alarms for low water pressure.

Any suggestions on the water pressure sender model, and where to find information on how to install it? I'm pretty good with tools and computers, I just need some information to get started.

Also, if I do this myself, will it void my warranty? Do I even have a warranty remaining?

What other types of engine information can I add to the NMEA 2000 bus?

Thanks!

as for warranty contact evinrude or your dealer .I bought my 2011 last year and was given a 6 year warranty.it was a special as merc was doing a 5 year at the time so I quess evinrude couldn't have them best them .as for your other questions for a etec I think you would be better served if you went to evinrude and joined the owners group and asked there as 95 percent of the time they have a on site tech that can answer your questions.i love this site but am just being honest in directing you to evinrude for your questions .

This is good advice, I'll see what they have. Thanks for the response.

the Evinrude NMEA2000 water pressure kit is # 765038 which can be ordered from any Evinrude dealer or from shop.evinrude.com in the US.

No problem installing it yourself as long as you follow the directions explicitly. Any problems due to incorrect installation are not a warranty situation. A dealer has to program the EMM so that the sender will be recognized by the system.
