I am trying to figure out when wiring a three pole battery switch diagram which shows the positive wire from the mercruiser starter which was going to the positive on the single battery. It tells me to run this wire to the common on the switch and the run the positives from each battery to the position one and two on the switch. Does this not reverse the polarity on the whole electrical system? Confused on this one. Can anyone explain this.? Sure would appreciate any help.
