Dude hit my boat before I even got off the trailer

I went to put in this weekend at Amon G. Carter. The ramp is plenty wide enough for 2, but the guys putting in didn't look like they new what they were doing so I kept my distance and waited. When the guy went to park the truck I started backing in. And the other guy circled around with the boat, He beached that nice new skeeter bass boat ON the concrete ramp beside me! I cringed at the thought of Fiberglas grinding up the ramp lol. I looked up and the guy parking the truck is now running towards his boat, so the guy in the boat panicked and baked back out. He was driving it like you would back a truck, when he got to close he turned the wheel the other way and gunned it. Then he pivoted right into me, HARD!

I pulled back up to have a look, Nothing was damaged the rub rail did its job. I'm just lucky his boat was just the right height. They never even said a word to me just got in and took off. No "sorry man, my bad" or "Did anything get hurt?"

I wasn't to concerned if my wake disturbed them when the were fishing. Its a small lake and I ran back and forth and back and forth while getting my timing and mixture dialed in :heh:

Thats the part of people i just do not get. I'm normally the guy that would embarrass my wife as I yelled "yea don't say sorry or anything *******"

When I pulled it back out of the water they were gone. I was gonna ask the guy what the hell he was thinking.

They are probably not the 'thinking' type of people. Glad everything is OK with your boat.

it is the many ramp stories like this that make me glad to have a mooring. :thumb:

Yea no joke I love keeping mine on a slip, that thins out the idiots alto that has its fair share to. A for instance, I got a new well mate this year and he didnt seam to care how well his boat way ties and a several times the back end of his boat had so much slack it would bang into mine and yes I have lots of fenders but fenders will get knocked out of place in bad weather, after re tieing his off 4 times I taped a note to his console very politely explaining the issue and saying I would be more than happy to show him how to and giving him my cell number to set up a time. He got the hint.

If that doesn't work, give him the number to your insurance agent. That might get his attention.

I had someone, a business actually, damage my car (not a collision accident) and the guy got a real attitude. He was all puffed up and when I told him he'd have to pay for his damage he said "you'll have to sue me". I got really calm and cool and said "no, I have a better idea. I'm going to pay my deductible myself and have State Farm sue you for damages and my deductible THEN I'll decide if I wan't to sue you. (the last part was really BS because I'd have no damages to recover but he was being a butthead so...) " As I dialed my agent's phone number that guy's whole disposition chaged!!! He fell all over himself trying to get my car fixed. I think the guy was a good guy but was just having a bad day because he turned out to be very friendly and nice.
