so, it goes "idle, idle idle pop puff, ..idle idle idle pop puff" lean sneeze? cough? miss?
a dead 1987 DT 20 resurected with completely replaced all ignition parts, CDI, and coil/ stator/sensor, dissembled carb and cleaned jets and replaced impeller. Now starts beautifully first or second pull. And runs great at half and full throttle. Pushing me (235# and a 14' runabout.) Only at idle does it cough and puff every several seconds. Never dies or stalls just chuga chuga chuga pop chuga chuga chuga pop. Also, pulled new plugs after the HR test run on the lake and the top plug is dry-ish and blackened and the lower plug is wet and browned...
any ideas?
