Hi All, I have inherited the above boat made in 1964. I made the mistake of not putting it over a weighbridge before pulling things apart. (eg - the trailer is now without wheel bearings!) The trailer it was on did not have brakes and I am having trouble working out what the total weight of trailer plus boat will be. I have a good fix on the trailer and the inboard mercruiser 150HP with alpha sterndrive, but the hull weight is the problem. It is an Australian made 18 ft ski boat boat (manufacturer long gone) with a wooden and glass combo (I am told similar to a Bertram design hull - whatever that means) I know its a deep vee. I have searched the nadaguides site for older 18ft glass boats with around the same size inboard - they only go back as far as 1979 - but I guess thats better than nothing. Based on my reckoning, the hull without engine and sterndrive could be in the range of 700 - 940kg. Anyone got better info?
