Dropping Lower Unit on a Older Nissan 9.9B2

I was wondering where I unhook the shift linkage to drop the lower unit? I need to replace the impeller. I looked it over and the only place I see that it might unhook is up at the top of the linkage which is hooked to the same shaft that the shift lever is hooked too, right under the carb. The shift linkage has a bend near the top, so I am not sure. Anybody know??

Also, how do I tell what year this motor is? The number on the plate are NS9.9B2 and 355A-136074.

Just above the lower unit where the upper and lower shift rods meet.
