Driveshaft housing broke in two on nissan ns8b

Its the section between the engine and the lower unit. Can it be welded back together or must i get a new part. Does anyone have a spare or know where i could get one. Early nineties two stroke model

Welcome to iboats. <br /><br />If it broke, it's warped. Don't repair it. There's an outfit called Outboard Recycle. They only deal with dealers, so you'll have to go thru one. That'd be your best hope. Now for the big question everybody is asking themselves. How Did You Break It???

I don't think you can break one unless you drop it off your roof

I have a prop guard on the motor. While i was backing up, One wheel went into a hole. The prop guard acted like a shovel and dug into the ground. No place to go but snap.
