Alpha one gen one. The propeller will only spin forward. It’s fine in forward fear and neutral. When I put it in reverse the propellor seems to spin forward. I just put the boat in the water and found this out. (Bone head move as this was the only thing I didn’t check before putting it in)
I had that entire drive off the boat including the transom plates, bell housing etc.
I’m hoping it’s just a lower shift cable adjustment which can be done in the water.
Anyone have a thought about what’s going on?

If you did not split the drive and change impeller then should be shift cable

I actually did split the drive. I did the impeller as well as the the upper half's oil seals. I had the drive shaft out.

So does that mean I need to pull the entire drive off of the bell housing, put it all in forward and reinstall it?

I see two issues

So does that mean I need to pull the entire drive off of the bell housing, put it all in forward and reinstall it?

Yes, throttle must be in forward on reinstall or the shift foot gets bent

The outer issue
Splitting the drive means the prop needs to be locked in forward which means the prop is locked in the counter clockwise direction. Put bungee cord on prop to hold it locked in position. With prop locked, position upper shift foot facing forward, then put the two halves together
