Well I know that having you drive trimmed all the way out is bad. But I herd that it is bad to have it trimmed out a little bit while on plane. I boat often just never with a sterndrive boat. And when I run my grandfathers boat which has a sterndrive while on plane about 3300-4000 rpm I hit the trim about 2-3 times at about one second per tap on the trim. I also trim out a little a wot. The whole new engine package has about 14hrs of life on it. And I really wnat to prolong it. Am I doing anything wrong and are there any other things I should know about that you can do with an outboard but not sterndrive. Thanks Much Dan

You're supposed to use the trim to get best performance. That is what it's there for.
Trim up till your speed starts dropping and your rpm starts going up......... That is trimmed to high, trim down till you have best speed and rpm combination.
