I currently have a mercruiser model 1 s/n 5304460 thats extremely worn and cracked in lower housing. I was wondering if i could swap it out off my buddys boat that he is junking with an alpha 1 s/n ob700937. does the mating to the gimbal fit and are the ratios similiar also what would the the best prop be for the newer drive. it would be going on a 22ft aquasport with a merc 4 190hp. any help would be appreciated thanks
