Drive slowly lowers after being trimmed up

I have an OMC 6 cylinder I/O and when I trim it all the way up and come back later the drive will have completely lowered on its own. The actual trim motor functions perfectly. It just seems like the hydraulics are dying. Does anyone have any idea what Im dealing with here? Any help would be really appreciated!

Ayuh,... Either the Pump, or the Rams, are leaking Internally....

Definitely have some bad seals somewhere.

So is this a no brainer to take in to the shop? Any ideas on how bad/much $ this will be?

I'd like to do the work myself but iv only done simple auto. Brakes, exhaust, oil changes... It looks like there there are rams on ebay that I might be able to use but how do I diagnose if its the rams or the pump?
