Hey all,
New to me boat needs a complete Bravo III drive and transom assembly replacement. Question is whether I replace it with a Seacore or regular Bravo III drive. I will be slipping the boat year round in salt water, so extra corrosion protection is certainly welcome.
Visited a factory certified Mercruiser shop yesterday to discuss the drive replacement. He tells me there is absolutely no difference between a Seacore drive and a regular Bravo III, except that the Seacore has a 3 year warranty. I had thought the Seacore had a new anodized coating inside and out that help prevent corrosion. He indicated that both drives have it. Anyone know whether this is the case?
