I'm a little more liberal than the Doctur. The lube monitor is part of a sealed system that pressurizes the out drive when it's hot or warm. This may ooze a little lube past the seals. When the drive cools there is a slight negative pressure (suction), and the check valve in the lube monitor bottle's cap lets air enter the bottle vs. water sucking back in around the seals. So some drop is not an emergency. Just keep topping it off. But if it becomes excessive-like you can't keep up with it, it's time for a seal replacement job.
