On my 88 liberator I have removed all hoses and plugs to drain heat exchangers and block but it has been brought to my attention that there mite be a couple petcocks on each side of the motor, a BB 460 ford. I checked this out but didn't see them but I've been known to miss things just ask my wife. Any who does anyone have any information on this.

If you have a heat exchanger and you are running antifreeze, there is no need to drain the block. If you have a closed system with heat exchanger, you should be running antifreeze

If you have a half system that doesn't send antifreeze to the manifolds, you need to drain them too.

(Not speaking from experience, rather diagrams) Should be one on the port side toward the back of the engine block. Not sure of the Starboard side.

It's not a closed system as far as half not sure either. I do know i always check my thru hull exhaust to make sure water is spitting out.

So you were talking about power steering and oil coolers then?

You get water spitting out of your thru hulls no matter what type of system you have.

Ah yes power steering and oil heat exchanger. What is that system called and does it have these petcocks just above oil pan to drain the block water.

Since you don't have a closed cooling system you have to drain the block. Your block drains should be to the rear of the motor mount I believe.
