Draining the engine

Does anyone have a diagram showing the drainage points of a 1990 VP, AQ231a. As i need to start thinking of winterising my boat.

Block drains (each side of the block, just above pan rail)

Manifold drains (hex plug on back of manifolds)

Large J hose

Raw water hose from raw water pump to PS cooler

The hull truth does not sell parts & equipment like iboats does so I don’t see how they are a competitor to iboats….

If you think about it the drain plugs for any engine will be just above the oil pan. Basically they have to be there.

For manifolds sometimes pulling a bottom hose is easier than undoing a drain plug if it's corroded.

Not necessarily. The water jacket in a block typically just surrounds the cylinders and doesn't need to go below them. My drain is well above the oil pan.

I recently had to search hard for the drains on my Volvo diesel engines and was surprised how high they were.
