Do you all believe it necasary (spell check that)to drain the water from the motor eack time. I flush it out very well but see that the motor has drains in the risers. its an omc 4.3 6cyl w/ cobra(a problem in its self). Should i keep these drained after every trip or what?

Fresh or salt water??

Fresh water - no.

Salt water - not a bad idea.(corrosion)

The main reason for draining is to protect the engine block from damage when it gets below freezing.

I dont know anyone who runs in fresh water who drains thier engine in the summer.
