DRAINING AND CLEANING FUEL TANK

HOW WOULD I DRAIN FUEL FROM MY FUEL TANK AND INSURE THAT MY TANK IS CLEAN? I HAVE A 21FT CENTER CONSOLE SEA ERA. THANKS!

Specks,<br /><br />You'll never get it all out unless you can remove the tank. Best to just pump out as much as you can with a pump certified for fuel. These are available at most marine stores. Some attach to a drill motor. They're not that expensive.<br /><br />If you do not have a fuel filter/water seperator, get one. Keep the spin on filters changed and you'll be OK.

ONCE YOU HAVE YOUR TANK OUT , YOU CAN DROP A LENGTH OF CLEAN CHAIN( 1' OR SO ) INTO IT AND"SWISH" IT AROUND. POUR A LITTLE BIT OF FRESH GAS IN IT TO HELP A LITTLE . I'VE DONE THIS MANY TIMES AND IT WORKS WELL. GOOD LUCK !!
