For some of the old timers that might remember why. I have restored a 1959 Galstron, Fireflight. The front seat and back seat or supported by raised fiberglass. In front of the raised fiberglass of both seats is a small hole that would allow the water to drain into the lower bow of the boat. There is also the same hole behind the back seat. Someone suggested that when the boat goes before plaining out, the water that goes in would come up out of the back hole behind the back seat into the well area. Can anyone answer the purpose of them other than to allow water in front of both seats some place to go?

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,........ Any water that goes into those holes, should run down the bottom of the hull to the pumpable bilge in the back,.....
