Drain engine oil tank? Water!!!!

I want to check to see if there is any water in my engine oil tank on my two stroke 2003 Yamaha 130. It has the tube you look thru but i don’t see oil so I’m suspecting some water. Can water devils in the tank from condensation or any other way. You are suppose to see oil thru the tube right? Would the best way be to drain it from the tube, check clear bottle with oil and see if any water settles? Thanks

To drain the tank you simply remove the sight sump. Clean the sump and then reinstall.
