downrigger conversion

Just curious if anyone knows if it is possible to convert a penn fathomaster downrigger to electric.<br /><br />I have 2 of them, and would hate to go out and by a Scotty. It means changes bases, more money, etc.<br /><br />Thanks for any input

switch to the Scotty- yes it costs money but that;s the last time you;ll complain about it.Scotty's have about 99% of the market here
