I attached a the Canon mounting plate to a Scotty swivel base at less than half the price of Canon, I seem to remember they were $24.99 each. It may have added two additional inches of height but worked great for the 10 plus years I had the setup. I also refused to buy the $89 Canon bases.
Hey WH, might want to look into Riviera's swivel base specs to see if its going to adapt to the Cannons.. I don't remember if it will w/o a little fabrication.
