Cleaning out garage - came across a pile of brake discs - mine, wife's, son's, daughter's, son-in-laws - collected over the years - with 4-wheel disc brakes, a bit of a pile. I was going to start feeding them into garbage, and got an idea -called local garage and got a name of a recycling place only a few miles away...
Long story short - got $30 and saved a bit of space in landfill!
Win - win!

Re: Double win

I have a friend who made old rotors into a fire pit.

Re: Double win

That's a lot of rotors. Any reason you were keeping them around other than to sell for scrap one day?

Well I just never got around to pitching them. I did find a use for a couple of them - have a large plastic table I was tired of having flipped in a good wind, so I hung a couple rotors underneath using the umbrella hole - never blew over again!

I use one for an anchor. I dont ever plan to lose another one I paid good money for. I sold 5 old car batteries last week for 10 bucks each.
