Dorsey trailer drag

We just bought a 2007 Cobalt 222 with the two axle Dorsey trailer. When we went to launch the other night the support under the front of the boat drug on the boat launch as we backed in. We also have a pretty steep driveway and it drags on it and finally gets stuck most of the way up. We have tried different hitches, different angles and it does not seem to make a difference. Does anyone have a suggestion? We have been boating for 25 years in a 19 feet boat and have never had this issue. Different boat different trailer but......

:welcome: CAE. I think we need some pics. It sounds like the ball is too low or the tow vehicle is sitting low with the weight on the ball..

Did you brother come up with a solution? We have tried different hitches and our Tahoe should be high enough.

I am not familiar with Dorsey trailers and a picture would help a bunch, but just off the cuff maybe some blocks or taller shackles between the springs and trailer frame.

Not much you can do short of modifying the trailer crossmember. Why they made them hang so low is beyond stupid.. Avoid steep driveways! Is yours a closed tube trailer?
